Open House

Open Houses are a vital part of school functioning. It is important for parents to meet with the people responsible for their child’s learning needs. The holistic development of a child is dependent on the hard work of students, parents, and teachers. Such teamwork helps the students navigate through the challenges of their studies. Delhi Public School Kolar conducted its first Open House for classes I and II on Saturday, April 29, 2023. It was a great opportunity to expand the communication channel between the teachers and parents and give them a forum to exchange observations on the students. Teachers gave a detailed overview about the performance of the students in academics, their weak areas, and the strategies followed to improve their performance. Parents also shared their feedback on the teaching methods and the overall learning environment of the school. The parents and teachers both agreed that the meeting was productive and provided an excellent platform to discuss the progress of the students.

My Body Gyration Activity

Delhi Public School Kolar conducted ‘My Body Gyration Activity’ for the students of class II where they learned about the various body parts, their locations, and their functions. All the students were very enthusiastic and eager to learn. Everyone was able to complete the activity with minimal guidance and instructions. The activity helped the students get a deeper understanding of the topic. All in all, it was an informative and entertaining activity.

My Senses

Students of Class 1 at Delhi Public School Kolar engaged in a very exciting activity named “My Senses’. In this activity, the children got the opportunity to have hands-on experience about the elementary purpose of each sense organ. All the students were very enthusiastic and eager to learn more about their five senses. The students had a lot of fun exploring their sense organs and learning new things. Overall, the activity was a great success.

Poster Making Competition

Delhi Public School Kolar conducted a Poster-Making competition on the occasion of Earth Day for the students of class I. The competition was a huge success, and the students had a great time expressing their creativity while learning about environmental issues. The competition helped in raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and instilling a sense of responsibility in the young minds. The judges for the event were the teachers at the school. They were very impressed with the level of creativity shown by the students. Overall, the poster-making competition was a fun and educational activity that helped promote a sense of environmental responsibility among the students.

Recycled Garden competition

” Sustainable living in harmony with nature”.

 Delhi Public School Kolar conducted ‘Recycled Garden’ competition for the students of class 2 on Thursday, 20th April 2023. The competition aims to make the students understand the importance of preserving the environment and, moreover, learn more about sustainability. Students prepared very creative and innovative models and art items from different waste materials. The competition helped students understand the value of the need to reduce, reuse, and recycle. The main objective of the competition was to encourage creativity, artistic ability, concentration, and self-confidence. It was fun-filled and quite joyful to help young minds and creative minds.

Greater Gator

Building a strong number sense is the foundation of most math applications. Delhi Public School Kolar conducted ‘Greater Gator’ activity for the students of Class 1. The purpose of the activity was to help the students understand the concept of comparing numbers. This was a fun and interactive way to teach the children the concept of comparison of numbers. The students were highly engaged and enthusiastic about the activity. They were able to understand the concept very quickly and were able to solve the questions with ease. Overall, it was a very interactive and informative session for the students.

Abacus Making Activity

A colourful abacus is a stepping stone to spark curiosity, imagination, and generative innovation. Delhi Public School Kolar conducted an ‘Abacus making’ activity for the students of class II. The students followed the instructions carefully and started making their abacuses. Everyone had their own creative ideas, which made their abacus look even more beautiful. After completing the abacus, the students started counting numbers on it. Everyone was amazed to see how quickly they could count numbers on their own abacus. The activity helped to encourage creativity and artistic ability development among students and developed their numerical aptitude, concentration, self-confidence, logical understanding, and analytical skills. It was fun-filled and quite joyful to help young minds discover, explore, and develop numeracy skills.

Class XI Orientation Programme

“Life presents many choices; the choices we make determine our future.”

An orientation programme for the new batch of class 11 students was organized by DPS Kolar on 5th April, 2023 in the school auditorium. The purpose of the programme was to acquaint the students with the courses and subjects of study along with the curriculum and pedagogy followed. The program was attended by the students and teachers of the school. Madam Vice-Principal Ms Anuradha Telang briefed the students on the rules and regulations of the school, the two year course details of class XI and the opportunities the school offers to groom them in academics and other activities.  School’s support to help the students to face ups and downs of life with calmness of heart and mind. The Academic         Co-ordinator, Dr. Alpana Verma explained the significance of selecting appropriate additional subject according to the stream. The two years of senior secondary being the starting point of one’s career she explained the various career choices and the norms of the school. She presented information about the examination and promotion policies of the school.

The specific Subject teachers from various departments explained the many facets one must bear in mind while considering a particular stream and selection of optional and additional subjects.

Welcome Assembly – Bonjour

DPS Castle of Dreams Kolar conducted welcome assembly ‘Bonjour’ on 05th April 2023 to welcome the students for another happy, chirpy and a peppy new session.

The assembly commenced with the prayer followed by scripture and thought for the day, infusing an aura of positivity. A motivational, fun filled skit was performed to teach the students about team work, unity and determination. A mellifluous welcome song and a splendid dance performance was presented by the teachers to encourage the students for the upcoming session. The students enjoyed different acts performed by their teachers that kept them captivated and enthralled throughout the assembly. Children were thrilled watching their teachers on the stage which was clearly visible on their faces.

Academic Coordinator, Ms. Anuragini Shadangule applauded the efforts of teachers in putting up a spectacular assembly. She also wished tiny tots an accomplished and knowledge-filled academic year ahead.

All the students entered the campus for their journey towards joyous learning with bright and cheerful faces. Meeting their friends and having exciting discussions with teachers and school friends added fuel to their energies for a sparkling start. The welcome assembly with the theme ‘Garnering the Winds of Change and Happiness’ was held on the school premises for the students of classes IV to XII. The day began with a special prayer followed by scripture in Sanskrit. A motivational group song was sung by students to mark a new beginning. Thought for the day was followed by the theme talk ‘Pursuit of Perfection’. All the students enjoyed the melodious dance and songs performed by the teachers of the Music department of the school. The students of senior classes exhibited their excitement while playing tug of war with their teachers.

The felicitation of the winners of the various AFS events and Spell Bee Inter School Competitions was performed by Madam Principal, Madam Vice Principal, and Headmistress. School Principal Madam Vandna Dhupar blessed the students and advised them to gear up with focus and set up goals for the new academic year. Vice Principal Madam Anuradha Telang guided the students that a proper plan backed by appropriate action will make their dreams come true. Headmistress Madam Sargam Behal also showered her blessing and encouraged the students to get themselves ready to face the future with proper planning.

Fly High And Shine-Welcome Activity [Paper Plane]

A cheerful ‘welcome” helps children get a positive start to their new academic session. On 1st April 2023, an exciting activity was conducted at DPS Kolar to welcome the students of class II. The activity “Fly high and shine” was a flying machine making activity that allowed students to make their own paper aeroplanes and write their messages and resolutions on the planes, which were ready to take a high flight.

Students participated in the activity with full energy and enthusiasm. The creativity and eagerness of the students were evident as they quickly got to work to create their own flying machines. They were happy. The activity encouraged creative thinking and added excitement to their first day of school. Overall, the activity of making flying machines was a great success. The students had a wonderful time and learned a great deal in the process.

Youth Parliament

Parliament is more than a procedure –
It is the custodian of the Nation’s freedom

Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal organized ‘Youth Parliament’ on Tuesday 28th March 2023 under the aegis of Pt. Kunjilal Dubey Rashtriya Sansadiya Vidhyapeeth.

The objective of conducting Youth Parliament is to teach children the true meaning of Democracy, equip them with debating skills, and stimulate them to present their own thoughts and listen to those of others. It also teaches them how to advocate an idea and make it a reality.

Youth Parliament is very important to channel the energies of young minds towards positive debating and inculcating a sense of leadership and making them great leaders.

The occasion was graced by Shri K. L. Dalwani, Dy. Secretary, M.P. Vidhan Sabha Secretariat , Shri Ravinish Tiwari, Under Secretary Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Parliamentary Affairs Deptt. , Smt. Bharti Shrivastava, Assistant Director, Directorate of Public Instruction, Dr. Archna Pandey, Research Officer Vidhyapeeth, Mrs. Deepti Savita Tanwar, Yuva Sansad Incharge.

Madam Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar in her message congratulated the students and teachers for putting up a wonderful show and motivated them to become great leaders. Overall it was a great learning experience for the students.

Orientation Programme

“The foundation for good parent teacher relationship is, frequent and open communication, mutual respect and a clear understanding of what is best for each individual child.”

School, teachers, and parents play vital roles in the holistic development of a child. Parents and teachers both have an immense contribution and responsibility in shaping a child’s personality. Delhi Public School Kolar conducted an Orientation Program ‘Freshenza’ for the parents of Classes I and II, with a goal to ensure a positive atmosphere for learning as well as building up a healthy relationship between the parents, teachers, and students. The class teachers apprised the parents with the learning procedures and school philosophy. The parents were also briefed about the functioning of the school, the academic framework, the assessment pattern, co-scholastic activities, etc. The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner. It also helped in evolving a common teaching strategy and helped the parents identify suitable follow-up methods to reinforce the learning process of their children. Overall, it was a fruitful meeting, and the parents were in high spirits after attending the orientation programme.

Carnival Brings Out The Child in Everyone

In the words of John C Maxwell. “Enjoyment is an incredible energiser to the human spirit”.

‘A day with Superheroes’ one of its kind in the city was organised at DPS Kolar Campus on 19th March 2023 to create happy moments and bring smiles and laughter in kids.

Shri Hari Mohan Guptaji, Chairman, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal, Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal & Pro Vice Chairman, Delhi Public School Bhopal-Indore-Kolar Road-Rau and Shri Abhishek Mohan Guptaji, Pro Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, Joint Secretary, Jagran Social Welfare Society motivated the students with their presence.

It was a  vibrant colourful evening which saw the participation of parents, teachers and people of all ages. The kids met their superheroes and discovered their unique powers and explored different activities like Bounty Castle, Obstacle Course, Bunjee, Sack race, Printed games Power Pins super Rodeo, Heroic heights and many more. The school grounds pulsated with scintillating music and a lively crowd. A very special segment catering to the kids’ interest included various rides and games stalls, art craft corners, face painting. Flea market stalls were set up along with an aromatic food court which showcased the cooking expertise of many parents. The three Musical Bingo stage was set on fire by performances of students, parents and teachers. Heena, tattoo, 360-degree Selfie, and Green screen photo booth were added attractions. An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable time with near and dear ones. The carnival had something in store for everybody, be it, children or adults.

There were several surprise events anchored by RJ Ms Pinky which kept the atmosphere alive. The all-inclusive event spanning over the day was bursting with fun, games, merry-making activities and exciting prizes for all age groups. The event was witnessed by over 3,000 people (students and their families) from across the city.

The Principal, Ms. Vandana Dhupar, along with her team actively took part in the festivities and enjoyed with the students.

The zest and zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made ‘A day with Superheroes’ memorable.

Inter section Group Song Competition

“Music is a piece of art that goes in the ears straight to the heart”

Delhi Public School Kolar Road believes in developing each and every aspect of its students’ personalities, and that is what true education is all about. To give the students a competitive platform, an “Intersection Group Song Competition” was conducted for the students of class 1. The theme for the competition was “PATRIOTISM” which was apt for this special day dedicated to the Martyrs’ of our country, Martyrs’ Day. Each and every performance exhilarated the audience with their melodious renditions. The audience was enchanted and swayed by the magical event.

Money Fiesta

Hands-on activities in the early years make math topics more enjoyable and understandable. Students of class I at Delhi Public School Kolar participated in “Money Fiesta,” a live market that was put up on the school grounds to further reinforce the topic of money.  Children had a fun-filled experience of buying numerous products from the market using real money. The enriching experience gave the students an opportunity to showcase their proficiency in handling money and also to display their marketing skills. This occasion was used to reinforce various other concepts like addition, subtraction, etc. It created a positive learning environment that provided our students with an amazing experience and they could connect this activity to the real-life experience.

Inter School Tech Fest “Headway’s Extra Quadrata”

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

An Inter School Tech Fest “Headway’s Extra Quadrata” was conducted by the students of Delhi Public School Kolar Road Bhopal on 16 November, 2022. It comprised of 6 events: namely, Site Incroyable, Esprit Decode, Filmskaping, Scio, Photo Perfecta and Parabellum. Two events Photo Perfecta and Parabellum were conducted online, rest of the events were offline.

Twenty five schools participated in online events and ten schools participated in offline events. The Scio quiz turned out to be extremely popular among the students. The other events, like Site Incroyable and Esprit Decode made the students turn the gears of their mind to give the best result. The process of reaching to the conclusions were phenomenal and well appreciated by the students of all the participating schools.

Delhi Public School Indore acquired the highest overall points and secured the title, “Victor Ludorum” of Extra Quadrata.

The team of Sanskar Valley School was the winner of Scio –Quiz, whereas three events Site Incroyable, Filmskaping, Parabellum (online)   were won by the team of DPS Indore. DPS Rau gave a scintillating performance in Esprit Decode and Photo Perfecta (online). There was an invigorating and enthusiastic participation by all the teams.

सोमवती देवी शिक्षा केन्द्र – शपथ ग्रहण समारोह

सोमवती देवी शिक्षा केन्द्र, डी.पी.एस. कोलार में 27.08.2022 को विद्यालय परिसर में शपथ ग्रहण समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम के अतिथि संयुक्त संचानक लोक शिक्षण भोपाल संभाग श्रीमान धर्मेन्द्र शर्मा जी थे, जो कि भोपाल संभाग के समस्त शिक्षण प्रभार को संभाल रहे है। श्री धर्मेन्द्र शर्मा जी का स्वागत विद्यालय बैंड ने गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर के साथ किया । विद्यालय के छात्रों द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा का आयोजन किया गया। विद्यालय प्राचार्या श्रीमती वंदना धूपर ने मुख्य अतिथि के साथ माता सरस्वती के समक्ष दीप प्रज्वलन कर कार्यक्रम शुरू किया। वंदना धूपर मैडम एवं अपर्णा चाणोदिया ने मुख्य अतिथि का स्वागत पुष्पगुच्छ भेंट कर किया एवं अपने उद्बोधन द्वारा सभी उपस्थित अतिथियों एवं अभिभावकों का स्वागत किया । विद्यालय के कक्षा आठवीं के छात्रों ने एक रंगारंग नृत्य प्रस्तुति दी। गीत, संगीत एवं अन्य रंगारंग कार्यक्रमों की प्रस्तुति भी छात्रों द्वारा दी गईा मुख्य अतिथि महोदय ने विद्यालय के वरिष्ठ छात्र मोहित मालवीय, वरिष्ठ छात्रा अम्बिका सिंह और समस्त छात्र काउंसिल को शपथ दिलवाई कि वे सभी अपने पद की गरिमा को समझते हुए अपनी अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को पूरी निष्ठा व ईमानदारी से निभाएंगे।
 
जे.एस.डब्ल्यू.एस के फाईनेंस प्रेसीडेन्ट श्रीमान नितिन अम्बासेलकर ने बच्चों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा छोटे-छोटे प्रयास ही हमें आगे बढ़ाते हैं ,छोटी-छोटी जिम्मेदारियां हमें बड़ी जिम्मेदारियों को उठाने के काबिल बनाती हैं इसलिए जिम्मेदारियों को उठाने के लिए हमेशा तत्पर रहें ,एवं नेतृत्व करने का गुण विद्यालय में मिले मौकों से ही विकसित करें। उपस्थित मुख्य अतिथि ने बच्चों को विद्यार्थी परिषद में चयनित होने की बधाई दी एवं उन्हें भविष्य में भी नेतृत्व करने की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि आप लोगों पर ही भारत का भविष्य आधारित है तो अनुशासन को अपने जीवन का हिस्सा बनाते हुए प्रत्येक कार्य देश प्रेम एवं देशभक्ति की भावना से करें। कार्यक्रम के अंत में विद्यालय के वरिष्ठ छात्र ने उपस्थित अतिथियों अभिभावकों एवं शिक्षकों को धन्यवाद प्रेषित किया।

SelaQui International School Quiz Competition

Delhi Public School, Kolar Road Bhopal created history by securing the first position atthe SelaQui International School Quiz Competition, organized by SelaQui International School on the auspicious occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav week on the 20th of August 2022, in Dehradun.
 
The trailblazers of this generation- Rishabh Kothari of class XII and Ameya V. Som of class IX represented Delhi Public School, Kolar Road Bhopal and defeated many reputed schools from all over the country, overcoming all challenges of knowledge and wit.
 
These brilliant minds have made the school proud, by winning a Cash prize of Rs. 12000/- , a trophy and certificates.
 
Madam Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar and Madam Vice Principal Mrs. Anuradha Telang congratulated the winners and the Department of Social Science on this mega victory.

#National Level First Position#
The Tableau Competition- My Nation, My Pride
(In association with AFS, Intercultural Programs India)
Date: 7th August, 2022

Delhi Public School Kolar Road Bhopal stood first in ‘The Tableau Competition- My Nation My Pride’, organized by Jodhamal Public School Jammu, in association with AFS, Intercultural Programs India. 22 schools pan India participated in this prestigious event. This online event witnessed 40 entries from the different states of India.

The student participant Naman Johri of class IX-A, presented the tableau of Madhya Pradesh through a wonderful video presentation showcasing the magnificent Madhya Pradesh. The video projected the cultural wealth, modern amenities and the natural heritage of the state. The teachers in charge were – Ms. Almas Nasir (Dy. HOD- Social Science Department) and Ms. Reeti Tripathi.

Madam Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar, Madam Vice-Principal Mrs. Anuradha Telang, HOD- Social Science Department Ms. Devender Kaur and AFS coordinator of DPS Kolar,  Ms. Anshu Kanotra congratulated the winner for this stupendous win.

Inter-house English Skit Competition
 

A skit is a short, usually dramatic performance with a message to be conveyed. It is both visual and sound experience where we can see the reaction of the audience immediately. It is a live performance to bring out the acting talents, flair of the students and to spread a message to the people. As a part of the extra co-curricular activity Delhi Public School, Kolar road organized an Inter house English skit competition on ‘Youth Empowerment’  for the students of classes IV and V on 15th July, 2022.

All the four houses presented skits with different themes and interesting scripts such as Stress management, Decision making, etc. For the presentation of each skit each house was given five minutes time. They were judged on the criteria of content, presentation, dialogue delivery and appropriate use of props. The students acted well and displayed tremendous energy and enthusiasm while performing on the stage. All the participants put forth their best efforts to make the competition a grand success.

The esteemed judges for the competition,  Ms Anuradha Telang and Ms Meenal Jha thoroughly enjoyed the competition.

The competition culminated with the announcement of the winners by Madam Headmistress. The first position was bagged by Kachnar house, There was a tie between Palash house and Gulmohar house for the second position and the third position went to Amaltas house.

DIPSITES from classes IX to XII of Community Service Club and Photography Club of DPS Kolar Road participated with great zeal and enthusiasm on the occasion of MASS TREE PLANTATION DRIVE held on Friday, 15th July 2022.
Student members of both the clubs planted saplings to raise awareness and consciousness about environment among the masses. All the enduring moments were captured by the members of Photography Club making it a great spectacle. The principal of the school Madam Vandana Dhupar sensitised the students that tree plantation is a necessity, the urgent need of the hour. Planting of trees is especially important to protect our environment against air pollution and global warming. The drive was a huge success, empowering students with substantial knowledge of environment and plants.  

3 day Model United Nations Conference DPSI MUN organized by DPS Indore, Nipaniya

10 students of Team DPS KOLAR ROAD participated in the 3 day Model United Nations Conference  DPSI MUN organized  by DPS  INDORE, NIPANIYA

Our participants were allotted different international committees for different countries to put forth their opinions. Our young debaters stole the show with their exceptional oratory skills and were recognized and appreciated by the jury. The press applicants covered the event beautifully and were especially applauded for their efforts.

It gives immense pleasure to inform that the team of DPS KOLAR ROAD bagged 08 awards in the event.

Interhouse Ethnic Walk Competition-The Wow Factor Classes IX to XII

“ The protection of intangible cultural heritage and maintaining the continuity of the national culture constitute an essential cultural base for enhancing cohesion in the nation”.

To celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our country the Department of Social Science has organized an Inter House Ethnic Walk Competition for the classes IX to XII on Thursday, 7th July 2022.

The participants were given a combination of two states and they had to create a fusion of their traditional costume and also to give a short introduction of the rich cultural heritage of the states followed by a ramp walk on vibrant music notes. The students participated very enthusiastically and had put a lot of efforts to present the fusion of heritage of the states. The audience enjoyed the performances and also learnt about the states.

At the end Madam Principal Ms. Vandana Dhupar motivated the efforts made by all the participants and blessed them with good wishes for all that they do in future. 

Inter House Crossword Puzzle Competition

‘The nice thing about a crossword puzzle is, you know there is a solution.’

The Department of English had organized ‘CANNY’ – A Crossword Puzzle Competition’ for students of classes VI, VII and VIII on Friday 24th June 2022. Students put on their thinking caps and prepared themselves for the same by looking up the dictionary and workbooks. Ms. Natasha Kukreja of Delhi Public School, Kolar Road took the initiative and planned this competition. The activity took place in their respective classes.

It was certainly a treat to watch the students totally engrossed in solving the crossword puzzles and there is no doubt that some students are still puzzled!!!

All this was possible under the able guidance of the Head Mistress Madam Anuradha Telang.

‘The beauty of music is that it connects people.’

With an aim to ‘Catch them Young’ the students of classes IV and V participated in the Inter-House Group Song Competition that was organized at Delhi Public School Kolar Road on 23-06-2022.

The auditorium resonated with the melodious voices of the young vocalists. They presented English prayer songs like ‘God is good and ‘All things bright and beautiful.  They mesmerized the audience with their brimming talents.

The esteemed judges for the competition,  Mr. Ankit Devariya, and Mr Ankush Malviya thoroughly enjoyed the mellifluous group songs. Also, both the judges graciously enthralled the audience with their own renditions.

The competition culminated with the announcement of the winners by Madam Headmistress. Each house participated with great enthusiasm. The first position was bagged by Palash house, the Second position by Gulmohar house, the Third position by Kachnar house, and the Fourth position by Amaltas house.

Respected Madam Principal along with Madam Headmistress and Judges gave away winning and runner up trophy to the participants and motivated the students to win more such trophies in future as well.

Farewell – Showers of Blessings at DPS Kolar

Set your goals high and always dream big because you are only as big as the dreams you dare to live.

Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal  organised  ‘Showers of Blessing,’ for the outgoing students of class XII session 2021-22 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The day was a fiesta for the students, devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers, to reminisce the joyous moments.

The programme commenced with the ‘Saraswati Vandana’, tilak ceremony and lighting of ceremonial diyas by the students. Shri Hari Mohan Gupta Ji, Chairman Jagran Social Welfare Society, in his message blessed the students and wished them good luck. The School Principal MS Vandana Dhupar asked them to keep the flag of DPS Kolar, flying high by keeping the ideals of honesty and truth learnt in the school. She asserted that they must have faith in God and should always be humble and respect elders. The Vice Principal Ms Anita Dwivedi wished all the best to the students for success and accomplishments in all their future endeavours. The school Headmistress, Ms. Anuradha Telang applauded the batch and wished them good luck to create a unique imprint in the world outside, reverberating forth the school’s motto of ‘Service before Self’.

The school premises were festooned with bright and decent decoration consisting of selfie point, school logo, school flag and house flags. The highlight of the function was the beautiful cultural presentation. The Music and dance department of the school and the teachers of the senior segment put forth a mix of scintillating dance performances, melodious songs, laughter show, pulsating music and motivational poems. An array of games and activities conducted by the teachers. All the senior students relished it with enthusiasm.

The members of the Student Council delivered speeches expressing gratitude to their teachers and mentors for their precious contribution in making the journey of learning a memorable one. Everyone enjoyed the dance and the refreshment after the cultural programme. They danced to their heart’s content. Many were seen clicking pictures of friends and teachers – capturing memories of school forever. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Class Coordinator Ms Alpana Verma. 

Students’ Clubs Orientation

DPS Kolar Road is committed to provide and build a holistic curriculum that ensures the all round development of our students.

Keeping in tune with our ideologies, we commence with the ‘CLUB ACTIVITIES’ that take into account the varied interests and every facet of our students.  Depending on the child’s aptitude and feasibility, one club  will be allotted to him/her. The Clubs will function every Wednesday afternoon.

To acquaint them with the different clubs, an orientation was conducted on March 25, for the students of classes 6 to 8. Teachers briefed the students on the benefits and activities of each club, giving them food for thought before they opt for a club of their choice.

It was a fruitful and enjoyable hour for the students who are already excited and waiting for their clubs to commence.

Vaccination Drive 
 
 A vaccination drive for students of age 12 to 14 was organised at DPS KOLAR ROAD, on March 23, 2022.
125 students were vaccinated in round one.
 
Corbavex vaccine was administered under the supervision of a doctor and madam Principal, Mrs. Vandana Dhupar.
 
We thank the parents for their support and cooperation in making the drive successful.
Welcome Assembly ( Session 2022-23)
‘Nothing in the universe can stop you from letting go and starting fresh.’
The corridors and classrooms at Delhi Public School Kolar, once again beamed with life as a wave of laughter and giggles washed off the lurking fears of the pandemic. The young Dipsites of Classes I to XII were accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by the teachers and staff of the school. The colourful balloons and a smiling Micky Mouse (Cartoon character) lend a jovial and colourful ambience for the welcoming of students.  The school organised a ‘Welcome Assembly – Rise to Shine’ on 16th March 2022.  The new session 2022-23 commenced for the students of classes Pre-Nursery to XII at Delhi Public School Kolar Road.  The day started with a Special Assembly.  It began with a special prayer followed by scripture in Sanskrit.  A prayer song was sung by students to mark a new beginning.  Thought for the day was followed by theme talk on optimism and a mesmerizing dance performance was enjoyed by the students.  The students exhibited their excitement for the commencement of the new session.
Madam Principal Ms. Vandana Dhupar welcomed the students and teachers and showered her good wishes and blessings for the new session.  The felicitation of the winners of the Inter School Competitions and NCC students was conducted by Madam Principal, Madam Vice Principal and Headmistress.  They congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication.  The students were advised to raise the bar and focus on the goals and aspirations.  It was followed by an engaging activity of yoga to re-energize the students.  The Assembly culminated with the pledge.
