Run Neeti Athletic Sports Meet Concludes with Resounding Success Delhi Public School, Kolar, hosted the Run Neeti Inter House Athletic Sports Meet on 23rd & 24th January, 2025. SESSION FOR STUDENTS – COMBATING EXAM ANXIETY DPS Kolar Road organized a session titled Emotional Fitness on Monday, 20th January 2025, for students of classes IX - XII. The session was conducted by Ms. Vinita Kanhere, a senior Counseling Psychologist, and Corporate Trainer with over 20 years of experience. The resource person spoke of the different reasons for stress and enumerated techniques to combat this negative emotion. She went on to make students practice the art of box breathing, focusing on 4-3-2-1, i.e. 4 visual, 3 aural, 2 olfactory and 1 tactile sense to bring about an immediate relief from stress. She guided participants in identifying stressors, understanding their impact on physical and mental health, and adopting practical stress management strategies to enhance resilience. She also underscored the role of parents in creating or relieving students from stress. The session was interactive and insightful, and students received helpful tools to manage stress and focus on the positive aspects of exams. SESSION FOR TEACHERS – EMOTIONAL FITNESS DPS Kolar Road organized a workshop titled Emotional Fitness on Monday, 20th January 2025, for teachers from Pre-Nursery to Class XII. Kachnar House poignantly portrayed the emotions in "Pas de sourire aujourd'hui" (No Smile Today), and Palash House enchanted everyone with their creative interpretation of "La princesse fermière" (The Farmer Princess). "Dance is the hidden language of the soul." - Martha Graham Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal, hosted the prestigious Shri Gurudev Gupta Memorial Inter School Group Dance Competition on Wednesday, 15th January 2025, to commemorate the 106th birth anniversary of the late Shri Gurudev Guptaji founder and patron of Jagaran Social Welfare Society. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from nine eminent schools across the city, each showcasing their unique talent and energy. This year's theme, "The Divine Trinity - Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh," inspired participants to explore the cosmic balance of creation, preservation, and transformation through dance. Nine schools participated in the competition, with students showcasing their talent and enthusiasm through various dance styles, from classical to contemporary and fusion. The performances were a testament to the students' creativity, technique, and overall presentation. The judges, Mr. Prince Yadav, a professional Hip-Hop and Freestyle dancer, and Mr. Ajay and Ms. Ashita Ashiv Jain, Gold Medalists from BHU, Varanasi, had a challenging task in selecting the winners. The winners of the competition were awarded trophies and certificates and were recognized for their talent and dedication. SAGE International School, Bhopal, emerged victorious, receiving a rolling trophy for being the winner, individual trophies and certificates for the participants along with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-. Delhi Public School Neelbad Bhopal, secured the runner-up position and, received a rolling Runner up trophy, individual trophies and certificates for the participants along with a cash prize of Rs. 3,000/-. Additionally, special award for the Best Choreography was given to Delhi Public School Rau, Indore and Special award for the Best Costume & Makeup was given to Sagar Public School Gandhinagar. " When we talk about success at Delhi Public School ,Kolar Road it's no looking back " On Friday, January 10, 2025, under the aegis of Pandit Kunjilal Dubey Rashtriya Sansadiya Vidyapeeth, an Inter School Debate Competition was organized for students of classes 9 to 12 .The topic of the Debate was "क्या भारत में समान नागरिक संहिता लागू किया जाना चाहिए?" It gives us immense pleasure to announce that Nistha Agarwal of class IX spoke against the motion in English and bagged the first position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 9000. Shristi Negi of Class XI presented the arguement in Hindi for the motion in and received a special mention award including a cash prize of Rs 3000 .Twenty five schools from Bhopal division participated in the competition. Both the participants received immense appreciation from the judges for their well-articulated arguments and confident delivery. VIVA LA VIDA - THE CARNIVAL OF LIFE FAREWELL TO CLASS XII STUDENTS OF DPS KOLAR ROAD Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal organised Viva La Vida - The Carnival of Life – the Farewell for the outgoing batch of class XII, session 2024-25, on January 11, 2025. The warm, sunny day was a fiesta for the students, who had mixed emotions as they reminisced joyous moments spent together with friends and teachers. Looking resplendent and charming, the students chatted excitedly and seemed to gather in their hearts, cherished memories and a promising future. The school premises were spruced up with colourful decoration and sported a selfie point, school logo, school flag and house flags. Madam Principal, Mrs. Vandana Dhupar welcomed the gathering of students, teachers and judges and showered her students with loving words of advice and guidance. As always, the highlight of the function was the Ramp Walk by the beautiful girls and handsome boys. There were further rounds, which included the Judge’s Round. Aryan Sodhi, a class XII student mesmerized the gathering with his DJ performance. The students danced to his foot tapping beats and enjoyed themselves. The class XI students bid goodbye to their seniors through a beautiful cultural presentation, making the audience emotional and nostalgic. The outgoing batch expressed gratitude to their teachers and mentors for their precious contribution in making the journey of learning a memorable one. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous lunch and clicked pictures of friends and teachers – capturing memories of school life forever. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks. ‘TRANSCENDENCE 2025’ THE GRADUATION CEREMONY AT DPS KOLAR “Learn with pride, achieve with passion, and succeed with purpose.” DPS Kolar celebrated a grand and solemn Graduation Ceremony “Transcendence” for the outgoing class XII batch on the 10th of January 2025. The celebration started with an academic procession led by the honourable Chief Guest Mr Uttam Ganguly Managing Director, Bend Joints Pvt. Ltd. Bhopal, Shri Sanjeev Saxena, President (Project, Legal & PR), Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal, Shri Nitin Ambaselkar, President (Finance & Accounts), Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal, CAO, DPS-Bhopal, Indore, Kolar Road & Rau, Managing Committee Member, DPS-Bhopal & DPS-Kolar Road and other dignitaries along with NCC students and school band. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary welcome dance and lighting the lamp, the School Principal Ms. Vandana Dhupar welcomed all the dignitaries. The Vice-Principal Ms. Anuradha Telang and the Headmistress Ms. Sargam Bahal felicitated the guests with bouquets and mementos. The Grand Finale, held at Sage International School on 24th October 2024, witnessed remarkable performances from all participants.
