Annual Function ‘ Pratibimb ’ in DPS Kolar

Delhi Public School, Kolar Road celebrated its fifth Annual Function, ‘PRATIBIMB, Imbibing Values of Life’ on Friday, 9^th December 2022 amidst great splendor, zeal and resplendence.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Mukesh Tiwari, Indian Film Actor, the Guest of Honour was Shri RD Tailang, Indian Screenplay Writer.  Dr. Abhijeet Deshmusk, Consultant General and Laproscopic Surgeon was the Special Guest.  The other guests present were Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Founder and Chairman, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, and Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Bhopal, Indore, Kolar Road and Rau Indore. Shri Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Vice Chairman, Executive Committee and Joint Secretary of JSWS, Shri Sanjeev Saxena President JSWS, Shri Nitin Ambaselkar, President (Finance and Accounts) and other dignitaries. 

Mrs. Vandana Dhupar, Principal DPS Kolar Road Bhopal presented the School Annual Report, which featured the School Awards and outstanding accomplishments of the students in various academic and co-curricular events. Class X & XII Board Exam toppers were awarded certificates of excellence and cash awards for their outstanding academic performance. An informal ‘Meet & Greet’ Session was organised by the DPS student council in which they interacted with the special guests and asked them questions related to their profession.

 A soulful rendition by the school choir group commenced with the chanting of omkar and ragas. Students sang immortal melodies of honoured Lata Mangeskar, as a tribute to the prodigious soul. The school band offered a repertoire of tunes of musical maestros titled ‘Sur Sarang’, reflecting the music of the past and connecting it with the present. The welcome dance Suswagatam reflected the rich and imitable culture of India in the form of classical dances; Kathak and Bharatnatyam. The highlight of the function was the capsule ballet threaded by Sayaar the Sailor. He took the audience on the island of Moana- the brave heart. It was a mesmerizing performance by the tiny tots from Castle of Dreams, students from classes I & II and the budding stars from Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra. Another highlight of the cultural extravaganza was a musical drama ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji – the epitome of courage’. The students from classes III to XI and students from Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra depicted the life of the great warrior with song, dance, grandeur and emotion. 

The Chief Guest praised the show and called DPS Kolar as the trailblazer which has acquired many educational feats in this session and credited it to the relentless and dedicated efforts of management, principal and teachers of the school. The Pro-Vice Chairman congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and urged them to aspire for excellence in their future endeavors. The vote of thanks was proposed by the President of the Student Council. The celebration concluded on a blissful note encouraging students to mark further milestones in their journey of success.  

Annual Awards 2022

DPS Kolar hosted its Annual Award Function on 1^st October 2022 at its campus honouring the academic and co-curricular excellence of its students for the session 2019-20.  The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Vice Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal.

The Principal welcomed the august gathering and heaped praises on the awardees for their remarkable feat. She also thanked the parents for their unstinting support. Her far-reaching vision saw fruition through the remarkable achievements of the awardees.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer dance invoking the blessings of God Almighty.  Awards were conferred to the students under multifarious categories. The first set of awards included the following: Shri Gurudev Gupta Scholarship for All Rounders, Shri Hari Mohan Gupta Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Smt Somvati Devi Gupta Scholarship for Sports, Best Sports Person, Proficiency Cup, Marker Cup followed by it was a mellifluous musical presentation which mesmerized the audience.

The next set of awards was given for Continuous Excellence & Outstanding CCA & CCA Sports under which 32 Blue Blazers, 7 Maroon Blazers, and 11 Scholar Trophies were given.

Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar was also felicitated by the Chief Guest in acknowledgment of her leadership and initiative in organizing competitive exams and performance excellence of her students in SOF Olympiads conducted during the year 2021-22.

Shri Abhishek Mohan Gupta Sir lauded the students for their exemplary achievements and also hailed the teachers for their relentless effort in inculcating a competitive spirit in students. The Chief Guest congratulated the students for their stupendous accomplishments and acknowledged the efforts of the school in the multifaceted growth of its students. A congratulatory song `Acclamation` was presented to celebrate the success of the school and its students.

The function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Garima Methwani, the Head Girl of the school.

Annual Award Ceremony INVICTUS

“Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit”

The Annual Award Ceremony INVICTUS- Raising the Bar of Excellence, was held with pomp and grandeur on Saturday, 2nd November 2019, at DPS Kolar Road Bhopal. A total of 518 students were awarded 912 trophies and badges for academic and co curricular excellence.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Praveen Agarwal, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry – Madhya Pradesh and Mr. Faisal Meer Khan, Director Operations, JSWS.

The occasion was made even more special with the benign presence of the proud parents of the awardees.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp to solicit the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati.

Ms. Vandana Dhupar Principal DPS Kolar in her welcome address expressed her gratitude to the august gathering for their gracious presence. She also applauded the hard work of all the students whose academic contributions will set new benchmarks for themselves, and also spur their peers to aim for greater heights. The welcome address was followed by Durga Stuti (Welcome Dance).

The first round of felicitation began with Shri Hari Mohan Gupta Academic Excellence Awards, Late Shri Somwati Devi Gupta Scholarship for Best Sports Person and Proficiency Awards.

In the second round of felicitation the students were awarded Marker Cup, Star Badge, Star Tie , Blue Blazer, Scholar Trophy, Star Trophy, Outstanding Awards (CCA Prize) and Budding Star.

Swatch Bharat, a street play ( Nukkad Natak ) on cleanliness drive enthralled the audience with the mind elevating message and performance of the young DIPSITES. The Chief Guest in his pearls of wisdom congratulated and motivated the students and urged them to keep the flag of their school flying high.

This was followed by the next set of Awards in which students were conferred with the Scholar Badge and Full Attendance Award for the Academic Year 2018-19. The memorable day came to an end with Applaudir (congratulations song) that acknowledged the efforts of the young DIPSITES and rejuvenated their zeal to be the best in coming academic sessions.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Tisya Yadav, Captain Gulmohar House.
