INTER DPS JSWS CUP BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT “The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.” Delhi Public School Kolar Road Bhopal successfully hosted the JSWS Basketball and Football Tournament on 6th and 7th December 2024, celebrating young talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Inaugural and Closing Ceremonies The tournament began with a grand opening on 6th December 2024. The Chief Guest, Mr. Mangesh Desai, AIFF (A License) Coach and Lakecity Head Coach, inspired the participants by highlighting the significance of sports in personal growth. Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar extended a heartfelt welcome to the dignitaries and participants, setting the tone for an exciting two-day event. The event concluded on 7th December 2024 with a vibrant closing ceremony. The Chief Guest, Mr. Rajeev Saxena, Chairman of the Under-14 Selection Committee (BDCA) and JSWS Board of Directors and Guest of Honour, Mr. Yashwant Singh Kushwah, Treasurer of the Madhya Pradesh Basketball Federation, praised the athletes for their spirited performances. Their words encouraged the young players to continue striving for excellence in sports. "God could not be present everywhere therefore he made mother for us ", keeping this in mind on the birthday of late Smt Somvati Devi we celebrated ' Matratva Divas ' on 5th of December 2024 with great and joy and enthusiasm. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful events and competitions of the mother's and students of classes 1st to 8th. In this program we got to see a good coordination between the child and the mother. In the occasion chief guest was Parshad shrimati Babita Dongre and special guest was Neha Ambaselkar . DPS Kolar Achieves 2nd Runner-Up in National Quiz Competition It is a matter of immense pride and pleasure to announce that DPS Kolar has secured the 2nd runner-up position in the prestigious quiz competition organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA) and hosted by Jagran Lake City University. The winning team has: 1. Paras Khadakkar XI C 2. Aryan Mehta XI C The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 76 teams representing esteemed organizations across the city. Each team comprised two members, showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking in a highly competitive environment. The event featured two preliminary rounds, with 51 teams qualifying after the first round. Following a rigorous second round, only 12 teams made it to the semi-finals. From these, the top 6 teams advanced to the final round. The journey of DPS Kolar students to the final stage was marked by exceptional performance, resilience, and teamwork. The commendable efforts and hard work of the students were widely appreciated by the audience and the organizers. The Department of Social Science organized the Inter-House General Knowledge Quiz Competition 2024-25 on the 27th November 2024 for the students of class III, with each house represented by a team of four students. The quiz consisted of four exciting rounds: • Multiple Choice Round • Clue-Based Round • Audio-Visual Round • Rapid Fire Round The students were energized and well-prepared, participating enthusiastically throughout the competition, their performance was truly remarkable. The result of the quiz is as follows: • 1st Position: Amaltas House • 2nd Position: Kachnar House and Palash House • 3rd Position: Gulmohar House Madam Headmistress Mrs. Sargam Bahal graced the occasion and congratulated the participants for putting up such a wonderful show. She also encouraged the students to enhance their knowledge, emphasizing the importance of intellectual engagement and learning. Overall, it was a great learning experience for all.
