Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal celebrated its Annual Sports Meet on November 21 and 22, 2025, with the energizing theme “Josh: Never Give Up.” The campus came alive as almost 1000 students showcased exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork.
The event was graced by the benign presence of Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Founder and Chairperson, Jagran Social Welfare Society, Bhopal, Founder and Chancellor Jagran Lake City University, Bhopal, Founder and Pro Vice Chairman,DPS Bhopal- Indore,Kolar Road and Rau Indore, Founder, Gurudev Gupta Shiksha Kendra and Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra and Shri Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Pro Chancellor- Jagran Lakecity University, Joint Secretary, Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman (Executive Board)- Jagran Social Welfare Society, Member,Board of management-DPS Bhopal,Indore, Rau and Kolar Road Bhopal and other members of the JSWS family.
The event included a ceremonial welcome, March Past, lamp lighting, and a variety of athletic events such as races, relays, gymnastics, and yoga. Medals and certificates honoured achievers and highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic development of the sports personalities. On November 22, Chief Guest Dr. Varghese C Antony High Performance Director, National Centre of Excellence, Sports Authority of India, Central Regional Centre, Bhopal, while Guest of Honour Ms. Jahnavi Shrivastava, President at IEHE, Bhopal, DPS alumna and Vikram and Eklavya awardee, motivated the gathering. The Principal Ms. Vandana Dhupar, in her address, emphasized that true success lies not only in winning but in demonstrating determination, discipline, and the never-give-up spirit that defines the essence of “Josh.”Kachnar House emerged as the winner of the March Past segment, while Amaltas House was declared the Overall Champion at the Annual Sports Meet.
The meet drew enthusiastic participation and instilled the values of perseverance and “Josh” among students.
