‘Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. It is not an act but a habit.’- Aristotle
DPS Kolar Road Bhopal is affiliated with CBSE. We follow the NCERT curriculum and CBSE pattern of examination and evaluation. The curriculum of the school has been rationally conceived to bring the child into the center and to help him grow through the graded phases of development- physical, mental, emotional, and social. The DPS system of education uses efficient and interactive methods that incorporate new technology such as demonstrations, hands-on activities, and Smart Class for teaching the students. Our curriculum incorporates the 5 C’s – Comprehension, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking, making learning interactive and interesting.
The syllabus of Classes I and II is activity-based and focuses on the needs of the students and the changing conditions of society. The curriculum of Classes III to V emphasizes the theoretical study of branches of knowledge as well as nourishes the creative imagination of the child, and develops free-thinking, reasoning, and judgment. The syllabus of classes VI-VIII lays stress on the principles of correlation and coordination.
The school has facilities for all CBSE practicals and activities. The school is a pioneer in promoting various activities, competitions, and examinations conducted by the CBSE as well as different schools. The school offers French and Sanskrit as the third language to students so that they can be trained in a new language. Co-curricular activities are an integral part of a child’s development. Music, Art & Dance lessons, or training for that matter have a magical impact on young minds.
