DPS Kolar Road Celebrates Investiture Ceremony: Trailblazers – The Torch Bearers of Tomorrow
Delhi Public School Kolar Road organised the Investiture Ceremony on 27th July’24 on the theme ‘Trailblazers – The Torch Bearers of Tomorrow’.
The event marked the induction of the new student council members for the academic session 2024-25 and also commemorated the school’s remarkable journey of 11 years of shaping young minds and fostering excellence.
The Investiture Ceremony commenced with a Guard of Honour by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Priyanka Shukla, IPS, DCP Zone-I, Bhopal who graced the occasion with her presence.
Addressing the gathering, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Vandana Dhupar praised the student leaders for their dedication and emphasized the importance of leadership in shaping the future.
Expressing her gratitude, the newly appointed President of the Student Council, Sulakshana Guha, said in her acceptance speech, “A good leader inspires people to have confidence in the leader, but a great leader inspires people to have confidence in themselves.” Students took oath to fulfil their responsibilities as leaders and uphold the values of integrity and perseverance.
The ceremony concluded with the resonating echoes of the school anthem, symbolizing unity, pride, and shared values. The Head Boy, Buddha Dev Das delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who made the event possible.
The other leading members of the council are Chitransh Agrawal, Secretary, Head Girl, Ananya Bhugra. This year 3 NCC students were also decorated. They are Sergeant – Dharya Adlakha, NCC Lance Corporal-Pranshi Sharma, Corporal-Siddhant Agnihotri.
The Investiture Ceremony was a resounding success, reflecting the commitment of DPS Kolar Road to nurturing and empowering young leaders who will make a positive impact on society.
Investiture Ceremony 2023-24
The event marked the induction of the new student council members for the academic session 2023-24 and also commemorated the school’s remarkable journey of ten years of shaping young minds and fostering excellence.
Addressing the gathering, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Vandana Dhupar praised the student leaders for their dedication and emphasized the importance of leadership in shaping the future. The first ten students who were admitted to the school in 2013 were also present at the ceremony to share their experiences and memories.

The other leading members of the council are Vihan Khare, Secretary, Tanushree Vijayvargiya, Head Girl. This year 2 NCC sergeants were also decorated. They are Krishna Panjrekar, Prisha Deepankar Parmar.

Investiture Ceremony 2022-23
The corridors of Delhi Public School Kolar sparkled with pride and honour on 23rd July 2022, as the bugle call marked the inception of the swearing-in ceremony of members of the newly appointed students council. The Chief Guest for this exquisite ceremony Commander Rajeev Sharma Interviewing Officer 33 Services Selection Board Bhopal and the other esteemed dignitaries were accorded a warm welcome by Principal Mrs. Vandana Dhupar.
The ceremony which began with the guard of honour was followed by invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, a special prayer by Madam Principal, scriptures, thought for the day, and a spectacular prayer dance performance. The Principal in her address congratulated the newly appointed Council members and supplicated the students to set an example for their fellow students. This was followed by the felicitation of 78 proud council members with sashes, badges and certificates. The melodious and soul-soothing rendition of the motivational song by the school choir mesmerized the gathering.
Pro Vice Chairman Shri Hari Mohan Gupta Sir also congratulated the council and motivated them with his stimulating speech. The speech by the Chief guest added zest and vigour to the aspirations of the council. The exhilarating rendition of the school anthem infused hope and pride that kept it ringing in the hearts of every student
The ceremony concluded with the acceptance speech by the President, a speech of gratitude by the Secretary and a vote of thanks by the Head girl.
